Tired of staying at your home? Are you planning a perfect escape after the tiring pandemic? Then this blog is for you. Want a beach vacation where you can get fresh air and ozone, but don't want to be near the crowd? India's beautiful long coastline is lined with an overwhelming variety of beaches. However, many of them are ruined by overcrowding and obvious commercialization. The good news is that there is a beach there that hasn't been discovered yet – a quiet haven to enjoy the dignity of the blue sky and the waves in white hats. Here are 10 of India's quirky and lesser-known beaches on the east and west coasts that are perfect for a post-pandemic vacation.
Some of these offer brilliant isolation, while others offer encounters with sleepy villages that haven't changed for decades. Beloved by the locals, these sandy beaches are remote and full of personality.
So if you don't want to share sand patches with hundreds of other sun seekers, here's a little-known quirky beach option all over India.
1. Ezhimala Beach, Kerala
Located 55 km from Kannur, Ezhimala is a quiet seaside oasis in Kerala. It is home to one of the largest naval academies in India and is also an important historic site mentioned in Sangam-era literature and Ramayana. Cultural enthusiasts can also enjoy exploring the nearby ancient burial chambers, hilltop caves and carved clay columns.

2. Cola Beach, Goa
South Goa is sleepier than the North, but what lacks cosmopolitanism is complemented by natural beauty. The beaches and fishing villages of Canacona are surrounded by truly breath-taking views. One of the lesser-known beaches in the area is Cola Beach. The calm waves rushing to the golden sands, the endless blue waters and the clear freshwater lagoon bordered by palm trees make this beach perfect for those seeking secluded areas and surreal beauty.

3. Mandvi Beach, Gujarat
Unexplored by many travellers to Gujarat's magnificent Kutch region, the pristine Mandobi Beach is a hidden gem not yet seen by many. Mandobi was once a major port of entry for the region and still boasts a 400-year-old shipyard that manufactures ships. Like a fairy tale woven in a frozen era, large blocks of wood still float in the calm waters. Also nearby is the historic palace, Villaya Villa Palace, which illustrates the eclectic combination of architecture and culture.

4. Ottinene Beach, Karnataka
Not to mention visiting this small beach in the seaside town of Karnataka, Bindore, you are likely to be unaware of the very existence of Ottinene. In fact, the "city" may be a little exaggerated, and the "periphery" of the Udupi district would be a good explanation. Located under the overhanging cliffs of a small hill with the Someshwar Temple, surrounded by lush forests overlooking the sea, the view of this beach is spectacular. In addition to that, there is the mouth of the Sumana River, which flows into the Arabian Sea right next door. A traveller poll confirmed on TripAdvisor reveals why it was once named "India's Most Exotic Beach".

5. Mandarmani Beach, West Bengal
One of India's longest navigable beaches, Mandalmani is located 22 km from Kontai, a small town in West Bengal. An ideal place for a relaxing beach holiday is one of the country's least polluted beaches, with countless colonies of red-colored Scopimera globosa. Further activity can be seen on the beach as fishing vessels anchor at dawn and spit out fresh fish and shellfish catch.

6. Yarada Beach, Andhra Pradesh
Scenic hills, palm-fringed valleys, mangrove-enclosed Yarada beach (near Visakhapatnam) Andhra Pradesh) is rarely spoken, but offers some of the most beautiful coastal landscapes on the east coast of India. The historic Dolphin's Nose Lighthouse, built on Blackmores Hill, is not far from the beach and is still in operation, with a powerful white beacon flashing every 10 seconds.

7. Jallandhar Beach, Diu
Jalandhar Beach in Diu, with its quiet and sunny coastline, is a delight for anyone who loves the ocean. The beach is named after a nearby shrine with the face of Jalandhar, the mythical demon killed by Lord Krishna. Located on the edge of a quaint village where tourism has not yet replaced the local culture, Jallandhar Beach is perfect for a traditional beach vacation.

8. Lalaji Bay Beach, Andaman Islands
La Raj Bay Beach is one of the most pristine beaches in the Andaman Islands, spread out on a white sandy beach surrounded by swaying coconut trees. Protected and remote, with warm shallows for swimming, the soft silvery sand of this pristine beach makes a squeaking noise as you walk over it. Seen straight from the Jurassic era, the primeval forest adds a fascinating aura of the emerald archipelago, and hiking through them is perfect for a beach vacation adventure.

9. Astaranga Beach, Odisha
The turquoise waters, secluded atmosphere and beautiful sandy beaches make it one of the best seaside destinations along the coastline of the Puri district of Orissa. Named after the stunning multicolored sunset, Astaranga is also home to an active fishing community working to remain a safe nesting site for endangered olive ridley turtles. This small settlement is about 30 km from the World Heritage-listed Konark Sun Temple.

10. Tip Beach, Lakshadweep
Tip Beach is a protected cove with vast views of the azure lagoon and distant coral atolls, literally at the northern end of Kalpeni, one of the Emerald Islands of the Lakshadweep Islands. With beautiful large jumping rocks, a pool of rocks filled with coral rubble, and calm tropical waters, this secluded beach is perfect for those who want to sunbathe in pristine nature. Overall, it's a kind of secret beach for travellers who want to go home with the right to brag first!
